I should have kept my mouth shut

Go figure. Last night I told you how I've felt decent since starting the anti-nausea meds. I'd actually felt human again, able to function. Able to maintain some semblance of normalcy.

Stupid.

Stupid.

Stupid.

It's as though the bottle of pills read my post and is now mocking me. Making me pay retribution for feeling so well and being optimistic that I'd make it through. I've been running back and forth to the bathroom all morning. Slugging Gatorade in between trips, hoping to avoid a second trip to the ER this week.

And for the record. Very few things suck worse than being sick in a public bathroom at work. Especially when you're still trying to keep your pregnancy secretive and every time your stomach heaves you break out in a cold sweat because you imagine that everyone in the building is laughing at you. Knowing full well that you're trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to keep a secret.

I guess you mayb have spoken too soon ;>). Poor dear. I do so hope that the meds start calming your tummy down soon and you are able to function a little better. I hate that you are feeling so crappy. Hang in there, it will get better soon!

I'm so sorry you're having to go through all this. Like I've told you before - the NP at my dr's office told me the more symptoms you have, the more confident they are that the pregnancy will be good! And I guess I was the prime example - 26 trouble-free weeks then all hell broke loose! Complain away - sorry I wasn't here for you to talk to, but I'm back now! Love you girl.

I stumbled across your blog and read about your 24/7 morning sickness and I totally relate to that. I spent my 1st trimester on an pic line IV going through the list of approved anti nausea meds for pregnant women. Each pill would work for a few days before the "power vomiting" would start up again and even suppositories didn't work. The pic line was a lifesaver, I would work during the day and at night attach myself to the IV and a visiting nurse would come by once a week to check up on me and change the dressing. My OB recommended switching from prenatal vitamins to Flintstones since sometimes the iron in the prenatals can make the sickness worse. Lemonade helped me a lot, I drank gallons of it. Hope it gets better soon

I agree with the lemonade suggestion. I actually craved lemonade when I had morning sickness. Anything sour helped me. . I don't know how many lemon-drop candies helped me get through the day at work
